It can be diluted 10% with water.    Chimiver Ecostar Polyurethane Water Based Floor Lacquer | Where To Use    The new Ecostar Polyurethane Water Based Floor Lacquer is a high traffic water based floor lacquer suitable for all medium traffic floors. It can also be used to seal wood furniture, wood doors, wood frames, skirting boards and worktops. Due to its quick drying qualities, the new Ecostar Polyurethane Water Based Floor Lacquer is highly appreciated by the floor sanding and floor refurbishing industry. Use this professional floor lacquer to seal all indoor wood surfaces. The product is 100% eco-friendly and safe to use around food preparation and food processing areas. It can also be used to seal and protect kids’ toys. The product is single pack, non yellowing and very easy to apply. Unlike other types of floor lacquers, the new Ecostar Polyurethane Water Based Floor Lacquer will dry streak free. Areas that are missed, if any, can be touched up later without any noticeable patches on the finish.   Chimiver Ecostar Polyurethane Water Based Floor Lacquer | Surface Preparation   All old and pre-existing sealers have to be removed in full before a new coat of lacquer is applied. The surface has to be dry, clean & residue free. Even new wood floors have to be lightly sanded before varnishing. The temperature has to be somewhere between 10-15C. To speed up the drying periods please work in a well ventilated area. Underfloor heating should be turned off while the floor is getting varnished.   Chimiver Ecostar Polyurethane Water Based Floor Lacquer | How To Use   The product is ready to use and it does not require any mixing. This product is not sold with a solvent hardener. The lacquer can be diluted 10% with water. To achieve the maximum protection needed, the product has to be applied in a 3 coats system:   One coat of water based or solvent based primer and then 2 coats of floor lacquer Three coats of floor lacquer without a primer   The primer will slightly enrich the look of your floor to create that warm cozy finish.    Tools needed:   Varnishing brush Roller, roller frame & one tray 150-180 grit sandpaper Vacuum   Using the small brush start applying an even but generous coat of lacquer all over the narrow areas and around the skirting. Be careful not to touch any other surface that does not require varnishing. Using the varnishing roller, apply a thick coat of floor lacquer all over the surface. Roll it until the whole floor looks wet and patch free. Allow up to 2 hours to dry. Re-sand the whole floor with 150 or 180 grit sandpaper. You are doing this to level up imperfections and reduce the floor absorption. Vacuum the whole floor a number of times and apply the next two coats with 1-2 hours break between the coats. One more sanding after the second coat is possible but not necessary. Do not walk on the floor until the surface looks 100% dry. It will take 24 hours for the lacquer to fully cure.    Chimiver Ecostar Polyurethane Water Based Floor Lacquer | Maintenance   To ensure long life expectancy please clean your floor with a flat mopping system and as little water as possible.
