The fiberglass bars are overtone tuned to the industry standard A=440. Palisono (fiberglass) xylophones have a similar resonance to rosewood xylophones. The advantage of palisono xylophones is that pitch is not affected by changes in temperature or humidity (hygroscopic) so these bars are ideal for humid climates.
