7.75 Inch Food Mill with 3 Stainless Steel Blades by Acea
This was my first food mill, so what I am experiencing may be the norm. The design seems to have issues with starting the milling process…getting started. The grates install rough side up per the instructions, so until lots of materials gets under the feeder blades, it sounds like grinding metal and is nearly impossible to turn. Once some food gets between the plates, things get easier and it seems to work fine. Make sure you have a substantial pot or bowl under it for support, because until it gets lubricated with food, it is unstable. Like the assembly/dis-assembly process. It has a quick and easy spring-loaded design. It works well, but I am not sure it is better than a good food-processor.
