The Bicycle Helmet Covers by YBLXYSKD came today. I slipped the black one over a standard size bike helmet, which doesn’t have a sun visor, and it was tight, but fit. Reminds me of the hat covers the Police wear when it’s raining – or a shower cap. I always wear my bicycle helmet, as last year I sustained a TBI head injury when I fell from a ladder at home (and almost died multiple times). I avoid biking when raining for several reasons: Water makes the roads and curbs slick, and reduces visibility, both for me and other cars. Also, holding an umbrella w/ 1 hand is dangerous! Do NOT attempt! Instead, get this helmet cover, as well as an emergency rain poncho, both which can be compact and negligible in weight, and should be part of your safety stash. Maybe in your bike tools, or at the bottom of your bike’s basket or rear rack. Anything that increases your safety is an asset. Both helmet covers have reflectors. But my suggestion to improve the covers is to make them both light colors, instead of 1 a black one – and harder to be seen – especially at night.
